    1. [JOHNSON] John Johnson-Wilson R. Johnson
    2. William C. Johnson
    3. I am trying to find the parents and siblings of Wilson R. Johnson. He was born 1812 in N.C. and died 1905 in Clay county TN. His father was supposed to be John Johnson who died about 1830 in Overton county TN. I can find no listing for Wilson before the 1850 census in Overton county TN. They were supposed to be from Wilkes county N.C. 3. First of all I wish to apoligize for the vague query. I see now that it was kind of stupid. Anyway, to get to back to the subject of Mathew Johnson. He was born about 1772 in North Carolina. He married Millie Simmons in Franklin Co., North Carolina on the 28 Jul 1797. They migrated to Wilson Co., Tennesse shortly thereafter. So what I am seeking now is Mathews father. One clue I have is the name JAMES. Probably born about 1750 in Virginia or North Carolina. Any body have any answers for me. Thanks everyone. best regards Margie

These individuals (and several others) are buried in a cemetery immediately threatened and endangered by plans to construct a high-density residential development. The cemetery is located on West Willis Road in Georgetown, Floyd Co., Indiana. At the moment, this is the only statistical information available to me. I hope to have more information early next week as the investigation progresses. A number of the stones are reported to have been removed from this site. There were recently as many as 7 stones here; today only 3 remain. It was very recently cultivated for a turnip garden. We understand that an index of the graveyard was done by "someone" 10 or 15 years ago, but that researcher thus far has not been identified or contacted. This is a urgent request for your assistance. If you have any information on this family or this site, please contact me. Moses Jones JOHNSON who died 1857 in Marshall Co, MS & is buried at Sardis Cemetery. Moses J. JOHNSON's will mentions a sister Dorothy THOMAS & a brother James JOHNSON. Since I have only seen a transcript of his will I don't know whether those siblings were alive or deceased at the time of his death. Quite a number of nieces & nephews were mentioned in the estate settlement. William JOHNSON left MS some time after the 1850 census and moved to White Co, AR, where he died in 1869. He is buried at Riverside Cemetery in West Point. After William JOHNSON's death his widow moved back to Marshall Co, MS and lived the rest of her life in the Mt. Pleasant community.
