    1. [JOHNSON] John JOHNSON--1831--AL
    2. Seeking any info on John JOHNSON who received a land patent in Jackson Co AL on 10 May 1831. On the same date, Sampson HAWS also received a land patent in Jackson County. John JOHNSON and Sampson HAWS had children that married each other, so these lines definately connect. There are a number of other JOHNSON men who received land patents in the early 1830's. I believe they may be related to the above listed John JOHNSON. I would be most interested to know if anybody out there has a JOHNSON family receiving an 1830's land patent. I believe John JOHNSON had a number of brothers, although I have only been able to prove one sibling. Thank you, Judy Johnson Erickson

    3. Hello all, and Merry Christmas! I am looking for George Washington Johnson, no dates, that is thought to have married Docinda Sutton. I estimate their dates of birth to be around 1840. They had a son, Stephen Price Johnson, b. 12 Decmber 1861, family says he was from Alabama. Stephen Price Johnson moved to Texas at some point and settled in Taylor, Williamson County, Texas, d. 10 Mar 1916. Stephen Price Johnson married Rosalie Phythian. I believe he had been married once before marrying Rosalie. Some of their children's names were Opal, Lucille, Thomas, I know there were more, but don't have the names. Stephen Price Johnson is buried in Wilson Springs Cemetary, near Taylor, Williamson County, Texas. There are markers nearby that say "infant daughter of G.W. and R.P. Johnson, but I can't remember the dates off hand. I do know that the dates lead me to believe that this may have been a brother to Stephen Price Johnson, possibly a George Washington Johnson, Jr. This G.W. and R.P. could also be the parents of Stephen Price Johnson. I don't know, I am at a loss.
