    3. JOYCE, In the 1830-1840, time period, I am searching for ~ Almarinda "Susan" Johnson, born 1830, possibly N.C. or Georgia. In 1847, she married John W. Cox. John W. Cox was born 1826-28, possibly Georgia or KY. John Cox's family is in Floyd Co., GA. Census, 1850. I can find no information regarding Susan Johnson, except after she married Cox. 3. Judy, You have probably done this already, but tonight I looked on 1830 Fed Cen Tenn, Roane Co. since Elizabeth Johnson who married Medlin Dunham was supposedly married after Jane died (1835) in Roane Co. Tenn. Yes, there is 6 years there for people to relocate etc. but thought I would see who was in Roane Co. in 1830-- Johnson's that is. I came up with Seth Johnston, Edmond Johnston, and Little Berry Johnston, all related. and when I looked at family gedcoms, some interesting family names. Then there was Francis Johnson, Isaac Johnson and Wm Johnson. Did a brother of William Perry Johnson live here at one time? Have you tried researching these families before? 3. If you join www.Godfrey.org - I believe the gold membership allows access to vital records. In the vital records section under Rev. War is the names of everyone who received pensions from the war. What is very interesting is in order to get their pension they have to tell who their parents were, were they were born, what regiment they serviced under, what battles they fought and who receives benefits if they died. You will learn if they were capable of writing or it had to be done for them, how they signed their names if they were capable or just signed an X. You will see into the lives of some of your ancestors. Some have 2 pages some have 20. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tony Johnson" <tonyempireore@msn.com> To: "Johnson-L" <Johnson-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, September 10, 2007 3:43 PM Subject: [JOHNSON] Rev War Apps >I am going to start a Series of Posting on abstracts of Revolutionary War >application covering Johnson- Jonson and Johnston that I have found to have >ties in Virginia and North Carolina, the files were sent to me by another >researcher from a scanned book "1857 Rev.
