Samuel P. Johnson b. 1810 married Martha Brown b. 1820. They had children James, Louisa, Alice, Samuel and Martha, all born in Warren, PA. Samuel P. Johnson was an important lawyer and judge in Warren Co. I have photos of much of this family if anyone is researching the same line. Sandi
I'm not promising anything, but I do live in New Hampshire and could possibly be some help to you, if you could just tell me exactly what information you are looking for. I live in Southern New Hampshire, and I'm not a New Hampshire native, so I'm not sure where Hillsborough is located (although I could look it up, couldn't I?!), but I do live in Hillsborough County, so I wouldn't think it would be too far away from me. Just let me know. All my ancestors were Southern, as far as I know - and I am a Southerner by birth and raised in the South - just removed to NH about 30 years ago. Carolyn thank you so much for the reply - here is what I am looking for: A cemetery or some type of death notices for: Zebadiah and his wife Lydia Bancroft Johnson - all I know is that they died in TEMPLE, Hillsborough Co. NH - after 1777 Zebadiah and Lydia had a son Nathaniel Johnson who died in 1828 also inTemple, Hillsborough Co., so I am hoping that there is a cemetery somewhere in Temple where most of the family are buried. Samuel, son of Z & L never shows up with his wife Polly Wheeler or their son Joel who died in Wayne County Iowa,. I have a note that says Samuel died after 1824 and about 1859 so maybe he is also in Temple still . This Samuel has been a very perplexing problem - so any help would be most appreciated. Thanks again. Help - I have literally hit a brick wall. Am working on my (and have for years) on my 4th Great-grandfather Samuel Johnson, b 1762-1777 probably Temple, Hillsborough, NH - son of Zebadiah and Lydia Bancroft Johnson. Samuel married 1804 Mary Polly Wheeler daughter of Zalmon and Hannah Butler Wheeler. I have been unable to prove whether Samuel was born in 1762 or 1777 - Ancestry postings have both and now I know why. I found a note that Samuel served in the war of 1812 - in Sgt. Capt George Kendall's Co. from the state of VT which is where some records show that he was born - his wife (Polly Johnson) filed for a pension. I sent for the papers - wow what a puzzle - I don't think this is my Samuel - as this Samuel was probably born about 1780 - and the papers say he died 1863 in Berlin, Wis.; and his wife Polly's last name was Bedient and she died 1874. My Samuel died 28 Aug 1859 ----- Ohio???? and his wife Polly Wheeler Johnson died 1863 in Wayne Co., Iowa. So, I am back to square 1 - but if the Samuel that I have the pension records happens to be YOUR Samuel, let me know and I will forward these papers to you - they are full of great information. Thanks Pam

Hello, I am interested in this line, too as this may be the line of Edward Johnson who lived in Randolph Co. Va. in 1802 and was an original settler at Cheat Settlement around Monongalia Co. Va. The names Patrick and Michael are associated with him on books from this region. He was born sometime around 1760. Hi Becky, I wish I could help you, but I'm trying to obtain some info on this Michael JOHNSON also. I do have two lines of JOHNSON's in my family. I'm thinking they may be related to each other but not sure. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Becky Lucas" <rlucas@neo.rr.com> To: <johnson@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, September 22, 2007 3:36 PM Subject: Re: [JOHNSON] JOHNSON, Michael

Judy and All. ALL the New States were giving Land grants ever where on their Western Borders for Population growth. States were arguin actual over who had the right to give lands ( NC and Virginia) took tell 1832 Walker lines to actual Start Establishing State lines. I would enjoy anything on Jonson- Johnson-Jonston-Johnston and Johnstone regar regarding DAR Records in Virginia and North Carolina. As our Johnson groups are keeping a Library on them and I am maintaining it for folks to view each my County. Pleas do not send PDF files, as I have to re type ever thing from them. If you can tetype them please do so. we are glad to share the information on Each County File which has the researchers notes with them on these surname, some have been color coated to indicate what DNA of Johnson family they belong to. Thanks Tony I will be posting more Johnson Rev. war Apps most likely Wed or Thurs. as these came in on a PDF file but these are well worth the information on Travel Patterns, to show where and what time era a Johnson (sic) family was in a certain location ----- Original Message ----- From: Judy Bradshaw<mailto:juder2@verizon.net> To: johnson@rootsweb.com<mailto:johnson@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, September 22, 2007 1:15 PM Subject: Re: [JOHNSON] Fw: WILLIAM JOHNSON'S I POSTED I looked in my revolutionary war records and there are 5 John bells listed, 2 NH, 1 NY and and 2 VA.
