Well I accidentally found some new information on some of the descendants and more intermarriages between them. I was looking at the Find a Grave Site for Jobe and came across some Jobe and Birdsongs buried at the Hickman Cemetery and came across a listing Cora A Jobe Birdsong Well this quickly got my attention. First of all my name was Cora A(nn) Jobe and I didn't have this person in my file - at least not married to a Birdsong. So the search began. ------- Birth: Oct. 13, 1880 Missouri, USA Death: May 10, 1954 Clarksburg (Moniteau County) Moniteau County Missouri, USA Wife of Thomas Birdsong Daughter of E M and Hester Jane Jobe according to death certificate. Also shows DOB Oct 13 1881. Born in Rocky Mount MO Death by carcinoma of liver ------------- In this same Cemetery is Thomas Milton Birdsong Birth: Feb. 27, 1866 Clarksburg (Moniteau County) Moniteau County Missouri, USA Death: Mar. 13, 1948 Clarksburg (Moniteau County) Moniteau County Missouri, USA Husband of Effie Swinford Husband of Cora Jobe Foster March 2 1935 Moniteau Co MO Son of Preston and Mary Elizabeth Jobe Birdsong ----------------- Well it is getting more interesting. So we now know that Cora was d/o Elisha Martin Jobe and Hester Jane Jobe. She had previously married a Foster. Elisha Martin Jobe was s/o Reuben H. Jobe and Nancy Landrum. Hester was d/o Henry Jobe and Sarah Ann Headrick. Both Reuben and Henry descend from Elisha Jobe. 1920 -Moniteau Co., Missouri Lashlee Foster 70 Cora A Foster 39 Virginia Foster 6 Harold Foster 4 7/12 ----------- 1930 -Moniteau Co., Missouri Cora A Foster 49 Harold Foster 14 *Also found out that this Lashia 'Lashley' Foster was m/1 to Nancy J. Allee who had died March 28, 1910 Moniteau Co., Missouri. I also found this Virginia's death certificate and her mother was listed as Cora A. Jobe. -------- Then I found MARRIAGES OF MONITEAU COUNTY, MO 1910-1914 PERFORMED BY B. N. BYBEE, PROBATE COURT JUDGE Rec 336---30 Apr 1912 Lashla FOSTER of Clarksburg, Moniteau Co. MO Cora A. WILLIAMS of Barnett, Morgan Co. MO ------------ So we have yet another marriage for this Cora. I finally found it also She was married to James Williams Oct 8, 1899 Miller Co., MO. Found them 1900 -Miller Co., MO James J. Williams June 1876 MO Cora Sept 1881 MO *4 families form her parents *I'm still missing Cora in 1910. ---------- But the mystery continues - James J. Williams is actually her cousin and also a Jobe descendant. He is the s/o Reubin H. Williams and Susan J. Newton. I only had 2 boys for Reuben and Susan but they had a lot more children. Rebuen was the s/o James Williams and Sarah Jane JOBE who married Feb 23, 1849 Moniteau Co., MO.
