    3. Thanks again for posting the township map, Charlotte. I wouldn't say the other one is "better" though. I happen to prefer the handwritten, original documents whenever I can get them. Of course, having the "translation" to go with it is great too.Looking at Ann's website , I came to realize that these were Andrew Jr's lots since the survey occurred in May, 1702 and Andrew Sr died Jan 1699... (as well as the narrative pointed it out....<grin>) I have a question for Ann though.....how can you tell whether everything that is attributed to Andrew Jr in his early days was really him ? What was Andrew Sr doing ? Wasn't he creating any records ? Seems to me that if he were able to send a son back to England to be educated, then he was probably a gentleman of some prominence and education himself. Wouldn't he be playing an active role in the community as well ? In looking at the Chronology for Andrew Job Jr, I couldn't tell exactly when he was supposed to be back in England studying, but the item appears under the 1675-90 timeframe and that sounds a bit late for someone who was born in 1650. Also...do you know which school Andrew Jr was sent back to, and whether any of the other sons were also sent to England to matriculate ? Just wondering....malinda Oooops.....another thing I wondered about as I studied the Andrew Job Jr website below was the premise (not mentioned there, but I've seen it) that Andrew Sr was from Fishguard Wales...clear on the other side of England from Kent...but....very convenient to the port at Bristol as well as Landsend. It would make no sense whatever to trek across the breadth of southern England in order to catch a boat that was going to have to come right back by your starting point...any ideas about that ? * Charlotte wrote: > http://members.tripod.com/~ajobebrown/JobeAndrew.html > > Well, after I sent that link through...Freida sent me the following link to Ann's page, this has a better version of that map and gives the history of Andrew Jobe...I've not stopped to figure out which is which yet...<g>.. > > Char<br clear=all><hr>Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at <a href="http://explorer.msn.com">http://explorer.msn.com</a><br></p> > > ============================== > Create a FREE family website at MyFamily.com! > http://www.myfamily.com/banner.asp?ID=RWLIST2
