Posted on: Jobe Obituaries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/FamilyAssoc/JobeObits/227 Surname: Jobe, Hartley, Milligan, Thompson, Hackney ------------------------- Obituary from California Democrat, California, Moniteau County, Missouri, May 23, 1968: Lloyd Jobe Dies of Heart Attack "Lloyd Kenneth Jobe, 45 of St. Louis, died suddenly Thursday morning, May 16, following a heart attack. Mr. Jobe was born in California, June 13, 1922. He was the son of Mrs. E. R. Hartley and the late Leonard Jobe. His father died May 17, 1947. On December 24, 1940, he was married to Icle Alice Milligan. Survivors besides his wife of the home and mother of this city include: Two daughters, Mrs. Lana Kay Thompson, Eldon, and Deborah Ann Jobe, St. Louis; two brothers, Edward L. Jobe, St. Louis, and Willard B. Job, Whittier, California; and one sister, Mrs. Seth Hackney of this city. Others preceding him in death were a son, Herschel Leroy, who died March 25, 1946, and two brothers, Paul Gerald Jobe and Ernest Jobe. Mr. Jobe served in the U. S. Navy during World War II as a pharmacist 1st Mate. He had worked at Von Hoffman Press since being discharged in 1945 and at the time of his death was traffic manager and foreman of the shipping department. He united with the First Baptist Church in California at the age of 14 and later transferred his membership to a Christian Church in St. Louis, where he was a member at the time of his death. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Williams Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Tommy Barrett officiated. Burial was in . . . . . (NOTE: the copy of the obiturary that I have stops here. Sorry)
