With the help of an Ashmore - Gordon researcher, I've just discovered a mistake that has been passed down! Archibald R. Jobe (s/o Thomas Rees Jobe and Sarah Simmons) DID NOT m/1 Deborah Ellen Gordon. It is CORRECT that this Archibald Job(e) did marry Ellen Ellis March 10, 1856 Highland Co., Ohio and he is on 1850 Highland Co., Ohio census with his parents. HOWEVER, we also have an Archibald T. Jobe born 1833 in Massie Twp, Warren Co., Ohio who married Deborah E. Gordon June 18, 1851 Highland Co., Ohio. This Archibald T. Jobe was s/o James Jobe and Martha ? of Warren Co., Ohio. I'm in the process of putting this Archibald T. Jobe in JOBE TWIGS (with any information that I can find on him - census, etc) for now until we can identify him further.
