Jobe Jr., 78, of 613 Johnson Avenue, died 6:30 a.m. Monday, January 16, 1995 at his residence. Mr. Jobe had been in declining health for several years. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 1995 at Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham with burial in Alamance Memorial Park. Officiating will be Rev. Marshall Old, Pastor of First United Methodist Church of Graham and Mrs. Linda Dunn, Minister of Visitation, First United Methodist Church of Graham. Born in Orange County, he was a retired superintendent for Burlington Industries, Plant A, Burlington. He was the son of the late James Edwin Jobe and the late Berta Lineberry Jobe. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Graham and also a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Aldine Dennis Jobe of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Sarah Ann Jobe Thornton of Rawling, Wyo.; one brother, Mr. Henry Russell Jobe of Southern Pines, N.C.; and two grandchildren. Mr. Jobe was predeceased by a sister, Hazel Brooks Jobe and a brother, Bill Jobe. The family will receive friends at the residence. The body will remain at Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Graham until time for the chapel service.
