Jobe, 90, 217 Townsend, was held Monday at 10 a.m. in Cason Monk Chapel with interment in Mahoney Cemetary near Sulphur Springs Texas at 2:30 p.m. Officiating were Randy Harshbarger, John Gambino, and Oliver Murray. Mr. Jobe died Saturday, April 20,1985 in Memorial Hospital in Nacogdoches. Born Dec. 25,1894, in Sulphur Bluff he was the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Hargrave Jobe. He was a Farmer and Carpenter, lived in Nacogdoches 15 years, was a vetran of world war 1, and was a member of Pioneer Park Church of Christ. He and Jewel Smith were married Nov.3,1920, and she preceeded him in death. Surviving are a son, Valton Jobe of groves; three daughters, Mrs Texialene Robinson of Pinehurst, Mrs. Virginia Mathews of Nacogdoches, and Mrs. Nell Russell of New Orleans La.; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Grandsons served as pallbearers, and Cason Monk Funeral Directors were in charge of arrangements.
