RootsWeb.com Mailing Lists
Total: 2/2
    1. Sending Census Records through E-mail
    2. Ann (Jobe) Brown
    3. I have to let the list in on a 'secret' that I just found out from another cousin/researcher. As many of you know actual copies of many census records are now available through various sources - Ancestry, genealogy.com, archives, etc. Some are paid subscription sites and some are not. Now the thing is - HOW DO our cousins/researchers with paid subscriptions get these census records out to their other Jobe cousins or other lines? They don't send very well through e-mail and they sure don't print that well! Well when I was away, Freida mentioned having a place to download forms - which very few says was needed or wanted! Well we DO DEFIITELY NEED a link somewhere to download these forms. This cousin downloaded the blank census forms I needed and printed them. She then went to online census page (whereever it might be) got the info she needed and transferred it to census page she had printed out. Then she went to scanner uoloaded it to Email file. Then went online and uploaded to your EMail. I just want to say it WORKS and I received very clearly in a small e-mail size (only 48K) a complete census with all the numbers, everything filled in exactly as shown in the original census, in a form that was very legible and printed off beautifully! This is especially great for the later census records as they were so detailed and the blank form had a place for everything! These are also very handy when going to the library and reading a film! And the Bonus is that you have a legible great copy 'proper size' to put in a booklet for a gift! Ann
