The Sunday News & Tribune Jefferson City, Missouri Sept. 2, 1945 The police were putting people in Sheriff Dave Jobe’s jail so fast last night that they "booked" one man twice and caused much confusion this moring when Jobe counted 30 prisoners and found 31 names on the ledger. The mistake was cleared up however, when officers explained that they had booked one man as John doe when he refused to give his name.
