She was born Oct 2, 1919, in Russellville to Martin J. and Brooksby Shikles West. On Jan 15, 1938, she was married at Russellville to Vincel Leroy Roy Jobe, who survives at the home. The Jobes lived in the California and Latham areas when they were first married, then returned to the Russellville area in 1942. In 1947 they purchased their farm in the Mt. Olive community near Russellville. After her sons were in school, Mrs. Jobe was hired as a cook for the Cole R-1 School District and worked there for about three years. Then she attended the Mariwood Beauty College in Jefferson City. She owned and worked in Bonnies Beauty Shop in Russellville, the Beachcombers in Jefferson City and finally at Countryside Beauty Salon in her home until her retirement. Mrs. Jobe was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist church where she was active in the WMU, vacation Bible school, the church choir, the quilting club, the dinner committee and other committees at the church. She also had been a member of the Sunshine Valley Extension club. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three sons, Ronald Jobe of Russellville, Gary Jobe of Henley and Dan Jobe of Jefferson City; a sister, Delpha Glover of Jefferson City; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church near Russellville with the Rev. Farrie L. Cole, Jr. and the Rev. John Knapp officiating. Burial was in Enloe Cemetery near Russellville under the direction of Scrivner Funeral Home in Russellville. Memorials contributions are suggested to the Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
