Dear List, A few days ago I received a letter in the mail telling me no record of Joshua Job had been found in any VA National Cemetery. What I did learn from this letter however is that if a government provided a stone or marker, there is a record of it at the National Archives in WAshington, DC, and you can obtain a copy of the application for that stone. I have added a new page to Jobe's in the Military and have put all the information there for where you can write and get copies for yourself. My husband and I have several family memmbers who have military stones, so I will write and see what I can find, The dates cover 1775-1985. that's 210 years worth of records in Washington.
