He was a native of the Eldon area but had lived in Kansas City since 1947. Mr. Jobe was born Nov. 2, 1914 at Eldon to Lee A. and Dora Elizabeth Strange Jobe. Aug. 1 1936 he was married in California, Mo. to Eunice Shoemaker who survives. Mr. Jobe was a truck driver in the heavy equipment business. He was a member of Teamsters Local 54 of Kansas City. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jerretta Peterson, Independence and Mrs. Betty Harkless, Kansas City, a son, Larry Jobe, Independence and nine grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral home with rev. Bob Stevenson officiating. Burial was in Olean Cemetery.
