L. Tudor, long time resident of El Dorado Springs, and vicinity, died at her home in this city Tuesday following an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Tudor, who was over 77 years old, was born September 14, 1868, near Mt. Hope, Mo., where she lived until she was eighteen years old, when she moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Job, to El Dorado Springs. After residing here about a year and a half she moved to a farm four miles south of this city where she met and married C. P. Tudor, better known to his friends as Bud Tudor, the wedding taking place November 26, 1889. Mr. and Mrs. Tudor were the parents of eight children, two of whom preceded her in death. Leslie Tudor died August 2, 1911, and Mrs. John Bower passed away November 3, 1945. Surviving relatives include her husband, of the home, four sons, Orvis Tudor and Jesse Tudor, El Dorado Springs; Floyd Tudor, Twin Falls, Idaho, and Willard Tudor, Essex, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Barritt and Mrs. Grace Page, El Dorado Springs. There are also 22 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Deceased joined the Christian church at Odessa, MO, when she was 12 years old, and remained a faithful member of that denomination until her death. She will be greatly missed by her relatives, neighbors and friends. Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the Christian church in El Dorado Springs, Rev. H. E. Carpenter of Garden City officiating. Burial will be in the Clintonville cemetery under the direction of the Gwinn-Carothers funeral home."
