    3. Got a letter from Stan this morning with a biography for J. M. Mullens which mentioned a Miss D. B. Jobe of Tishomingo Co., Ms that he had married January 2, 1866 Tishomingo Co., Ms. So the search started. First of all, from the Biography, I knew that they should be on 1870 Grayson Co., Texas census. They were pretty easy to find there. But this census also showed a Taylor J. T. Mullins, age 8, with the family. Well James M. and D. B. were not married until 1866. And by 1879, D. B. is deceased. So off to the 1880 census and surprise: 1880-Grayson Co., Texas, Precint 1, page 107B James MULLINS Self M Male W 34 AL Farmer Virginia MULLINS Wife M Female W 24 TX Keeping House --- --- Carrie MULLINS Dau S Female W 13 MS AL TX Mansel MULLINS Son S Male W 10 MS AL TX Willie MULLINS Son S Male W 7 TX AL TX Tolbert F. MULLINS Son S Male W 5 TX AL TX Walter MULLINS Son S Male W 3 TX AL TX James T. JOB SSon S Male W 18 MS At Home MS MS *so we now know that D. B. was not really a Miss but probably a Jobe widow with James Taylor her son. Well I already had in my records http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=ajobebrown&id=I01518 a James Jobe, son of Joseph Taylor Jobe and Judeth Kemp and gs/o Daniel Jobe and Mourning Pryor, as married to Delitha B. ? with a son, James Taylor Jobe born 1862 Tishomingo Co., MS. I also knew that the Delitha's husband had died in the civil war. AFter the war, she and the son DISAPPEARED. I also knew from the biography that D. B. Jobe was buried at Whtemound Cemetery in Grayson co., Texas. So went searching and found Whitemound Cemetery - Grayson Co., Texas MULLINS DELITHA B AUG 7,1845 JUL 4,1879 W/O-J M MULLINS To make things even more confusing the 1910 census on ancestry has been indexed as Jakes with possibly Jobes. 1910 -Grayson Co., Texas J T Jakes 48 Sallie Jakes 46 Minnie Jakes 19 Henry Jakes 14 Tom Jakes 10 Willie Jakes 8 Clibb Jakes 5 Talbert Jakes 2 *name should be Jobe when you look at the census You look at it and the name is Jobe. Also found where Sallie Jobe died September 9, 1914 Grayson Co., Texas. In 1920 these children are all over the place and Minnie has married Joe C. Burns. For more of the story - check the next update of Job(e) Legacy. Thank you Stan and Jill. Never assume that I already have a piece of informaiton - especially if you check Legacy, Branches or one of my Twigs files and don't find it. You just might find the clue to fill in a whole new lines. I had wondered about this 'extra set' of Jobes in Grayson Co., Texas for some time. I knew about two other lines there - but this one wasn't fitting with them. Ann (Jobe) Brown

    3. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=Burns&GScid=611949&GRid=23587743& shows the daughter, Minnie (Jobe) Burns. >From the census, I knew that James Taylor Jobe had been previously married. Looks like he married first Fannie Jane Francis. The 1910 census showed a 2nd marriage to Sallie and married 13 years. Ann (Jobe) Brown
