She was 85. The native of Springfield, Ohio, was a Sister of Charity for 67 years. Sister Jobe taught at various schools in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, including St. Lawrence and St. William, both in Price Hill, and Holy Trinity in Middletown. She was a faculty member at several high schools, including Alter High School in Kettering, Ohio, where she spent nine years as an art teacher. She also served at schools in Michigan, New Mexico and Colorado. >From 1974-85, Sister Jobe worked as a pastoral minister and was an advocate for low-income senior citizens in Denver, Colo. She retired in 1985. "She saw a great need for love and healing among the poor. She dedicated much of her life caring for people whom others often overlooked," said Sister Geraldine O'Hagan, a good friend. Sister Jobe is survived by two brothers, Robert of Lexington, Ky., and Patrick of Norwood; and a sister, Anna Ruth Terrell of Springfield, Ohio. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. today in the Sisters of Charity Motherhouse, 5900 Delhi Pike in Delhi Township. Mass will be 11 a.m. today in the Motherhouse Chapel, with burial following in the Motherhouse cemetery. ---------------- My Note: I believe her first name may have been changed when she entered the monastery.
