"Grandpa" Job has been very feeble for several years, but has been confined to his bed for the past few weeks. Mr Job and family moved to Dallas county in 1880 and settled on the Matt Crawford place and has lived in this county ever since. They moved from the farm to Minburn last March. Mr Job was a man of few words; a thorough christian and a good citizen. He was beloved by his neighbors in whatever community he lived; he leaves a legacy to his friends far more valuable than silver and gold, an unblemished character, the world is better for such a man having lived in it. Mr Job leaves an aged wife and four children, Mrs D Payton, Wm and Link Job, of Minburn and B B Job of Perry. The funeral services were conducted from the home at 2 pm Thursday by Rev Carl Brown, of the M E Church. Many friends gathered from all parts of the county to attend the funeral. The remains were laid to rest in Greenwood cemetery beside those of departed children. Peace to his ashes. J W Job was born in North Carolina Jan 6, 1820, was married February 8, 1849, to Miss E M Hillis; to this union eleven children were born, only four survive the father, who departed this life August 6, 1902, aged 82 years 7 months.
