She was born April 15, 1887 in Moniteau County near High Point. Her parents were William J. and Pernecia Elizabeth Vaughn. She was married May 3, 1914 to William Wallace Jobe who preceded her in death October 14, 1966. Mrs. Jobe was a member of the Corticelli Baptist Church. She had lived at the home where she died for 53 years. Surviving are two sons, Albert Jobe, California, MO., and Frankie Jobe, Pilot Grove; two daughters, Mrs. Charley Bowles and Mrs. Herbert Peters both of California, MO; one sister, Mrs. E. R. Hartley, South Roache Street in California; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were three brothers and five sisters. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel in California. Hilligoss assisted by the Rev. Eldon Meyers, pastor of Corticelli church. Music was by Jack Bowlin, soloist, and Mrs. J. D. Branch, organist. Burial was in the California City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Swenehart, William Lawson, Roy Lawson, James Lawson, Lawrence Jobe and Orville Huff.
