Deceased had recently come to Ravenna to make a prolonged visit with her son, Mr. J. B. Wyatt, at whose house she died. For over forty years Mrs. Job has been a devoted christian and member of the M. E. church. Her christian graces were manifest in all walks of life but especially in the patient care of raising a large family of children. Those who still survive her feeling intensely the loss have sustained in the death of such a mother. Her children always found the sure comfort and sympathy in her ministering love which only the pure mother heart can give. Her life was a life of loving self-sacrifice for her family, and of sweet gentleness in its influence. In her last illness she still showed the same gentle patience and christian strength that had asborne her through all trials of her earthly existence. Her dying moments typifying that sentiment of the old hymn-”Tis grace has brought me thus far, and grace shall bear me home.” Until the last she delighted in prayer and the rendering of the Word. For her the “Valley of the shadow” had no terrors, for Christ walked through with her. Another mother has gone to wait the coming of loved ones. Card of Thanks To the neighbors and friends who rendered such timely and untiring assistance during the illness and after the death of Mrs. Job, we desire to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation. to the Ravenna Lodge A. O. U. W., which attended the funeral in a body, we wish to return for the sympathy and aid extended. J. B. Wyatt and Family Note: The M. E. Church is the Methodist Church in Ravenna. The local records burned in the church fire of 1954. We do not know what lodge is the A. O. U. W. It is thought to be an insurance lodge with something to do with "United Workers”.
