Well Ancestry updated their Arkansas marriages (adding 3 new counties). Some of the new ones I discovered are: BENTON CO., ARKANSAS Americus G. Jobe Mary S. E. Hastins 10 Mar 1867 ---------s/o Hugh Jobe and Jane Lawrence (knew she was from Benton, but had thought they married in Washington Co., - but it should be Benton Co.) E. P. Jobe Sarah M. Henry 20 Aug 1868 ------s/ Logan Jobe and Mary Saling. Just had Sarah M. before and knew she was from Arkansas. This is the one that we have the pension papers posted for. He apparently went back to Miller Co., MO where he appears on 1870 census and has two children, then he returns to Arkansas for a few years before going to Clay Co., Texas. ------ Leroy Jobe Martha Scott 6 June 1872 -------also s/o Hugh Jobe and Jane Lawrence. This marriage I didn't have at all. I know he married Emily Josephine Smith about 1876 so Martha must have died. Martha M. JOBE Ola Hitt 19 Dec 1894 --This is Clinton Bedford Jobe and Viola Agnes 'Ola' Hitt. --------------- RANDOLPH CO., Arkansas The marriage they show as Jacob Jobe to Mary Jane Busby April 29, 1852 Randolph Co., Arkansas is WRONG. Date and place is correct but Mary's last name is BAILEY.
