    3. Well it has only been 4 days since the last update, but felt I couldn't wait any longer with this one as it has 141 NEW entries, plus the major correction I discovered yesterday. There was also several additions to the Samuel Jobe_ Dorcas MacKay group - though at the moment I can't remember what they were. Know some concerned the Claybourne P. 'Clay' 'Claborn' Jobe and Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Jennings descendants who married December 17, 1889 Miami Co., Kansas.     3. Well Randy, I did have good intentions this morning - getting yours and Freidas transfers made and index pages revised. I got Freida's done and then the link for the West Virginia site came in and knowing me - you can guess what happened. I Just sent Randy, Earl and Eleanor a letter with an attachment - off list. If anyone else is interested in it - let me know. It will be on the next update of Jobe Legacy. One MAJOR correction - William Jobe, son of John Jobe and Priscillia Young, did have a son, who married Martha Chaffin and appear on the 1880 Lawrence Co., KY census did have a son, Thomas, age 8 on that census. However, he is not the Thomas who married Rachel Susan Midkiff and lived in Cabell Co., West Virginia. This Thomas Jobe from all indications was born February 23, 1859 Ohio with his father being born in Pennsylvania. His death certificate lists his father as Samuel F. Jobe and his mother as Lueanna Rogers. We're lucky in that There is also a death certificate for Samuel F. Jobe who died October 14, 1889 Cabell Co., West Virginia. This Samuel was a blacksmith and was born in Brooks, VA. He was 63 when he died. His wife is listed as Luanna. His father is listed as Jacob and his mother as Anna. This therefore makes this Samuel F. Jobe the son of Jacob W. Job and Nancy Ann Fetrow and a brother to William T. Jobe and he did not marry. He lived with his brother Thomas in the later census records. His death record lists his parents as Samuel Jobe and Lorianna Rogers. Now from the 1880 census above, I still don't know what happened to the sons, Charles and Carlos? (you want to make ann attempt at reading this - let me know and I'll send you the actual). Ancestry transcribed both sons as Charles, but the 2nd one isn't Charles. Also, not sure yet what happened to Mary and Hattie. Anyone have any ideas or discover more form the WV site - keep me posted. Also, the WV site does have a great deal for many who did come from the Lawrence Co., KY group. *Can't wait for the update and want the information now - just let me know. Ann (Jobe) Brown

    3. Randy, Believe I also have a pretty good idea who he is. Jack Joe Jobe born November 1907 Rains Co., Texas and married in 1946 in Dallas Co., Texas to a Mrs. Ruth Smith Greer. He is part of Moses Job group through Enoch Job who married Jemima Jackson, James Jobe who married Nancy S. Jackson, William Marion 'Billy' Jobe who married Martha Lou 'Mattie' Pennington, Thomas Jefferson 'Tom' Jobe who married Annie Lee Bryant (parents of Jack Joe Jobe) I just checked the Texas Birth Index and a Jack J.     3. I just acquired 2 documents from Project Blue Book (UFOs) concerning a Jack J. Jobe of Dallas, TX. One is a newspaper article from 1956 and the other is a letter to the military when he was Chief of Air Traffic Control at Love Field in Dallas. I think I know who this is, but if anyone has any input, I'd love to have it. If anyone wants a copy, write me off list.     3. sounds like a good idea--lol Patti Well I just finisehd transferring everything for the Samuel Job and Dorcas MacKay family and the Elizabeth (Job) Leath. Every album on this page http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ajobebrown/j_caleb.html has now been transferred and index page revised. Also went to the mall and show this morning and came home and had the 2 Wilgus letters. But one of the best things was 2 photos of Mary Ann (Jobe) Boyd who was born in 1835 and died in 1904. Mary was the d/o Abraham 'Devil Abe' Jobe and Elizabeth Hays and gd/o Daniel Jobe and Mourning Pryor and gt gd/o Samuel and Dorcas. It isn't everyday that I get a photo of someone born in 1835.
