    1. [JOBE] NEW PAGE - Brick Meeting House and Cemetery
    2. Ann (Jobe) Brown
    3. Wasn't sure what to do with these photographs and wanted to give them justice so just created a new site entirely. Brick Meeting House and Cemetery - Recent Photographs http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ajobebrown/jobe/brick_meeting_house_cemetery.html This is listed under Andrew Job Jr and also under Thomas Vernon Job. This completes what I had in a folder to post for Thomas Vernon Job. Will probably work on Patience (Job) MacKay and Jacob Job who married Rachel Brokesy next since there isn't that many in those folders. With Patti, I'm trying to get the ones that relate to Moses group first to her to post. Ann

    1. [JOBE] Daniel Job Jr. purchaser
    2. JAMES JOBE
    3. This is a transaction and listing of items sold by John Hull, Tavern keeper, of Charles Town to Daniel Job Jr. on the 17th of December 1786. Of note is that Daniel is only 22, single and seems to spend alot of money and is 12 years from his marriage to Rachel Haines. But his father Daniel is wealthy and in 1 year will purchase 1/2 of another of the Nottingham Lots (500 acres each), 2 of which his great-grandfather Andrew Jr. already owned. Also of note is an old reference to "two Sad Irons". This is a reference to 2 weights of solid iron, a commodity of the times. 1. [JOBE] Archibald Job Executor & messy Wallace wills
    2. JAMES JOBE
    3. This over-worded deed, yes it is a deed, straitens out 2 Wallace wills where Arch was Executor on both. It seems everyone died. This is a very tough read for even a seasoned genealogist to figure. I'll buy someone an ice cream to tell me the relationships between all the Wallaces mentioned! Is it 4 people? 5? There is a unique word used by Baruch Williams here that I have never seen before...enfeoffed & enfeoff. It means to invest with a feudal estate or fee, whatever that means. It is from the Middle Ages. 1. [JOBE] Bond for Archibald Job's First term as Sheriff
    2. JAMES JOBE
    3. These pages document the bond given for Archibald Job for his first term as High Sheriff of Cecil County. Notice the witnesses. Daniel Job and Sarah Job, his brother and his daughter! Yes, the Daniel could be his son, Daniel Defoe Job, but Daniel Defoe had just gotten married that year in Baltimore. So I speculate it was his brother who was closeby. Also because in the documents to come you will see Daniel the brother there. More speculation: Who is Margaret Campbell? Arch had a sister Margaret b. 1730 that we never found. Could she have married a Campbell? 1. [JOBE] Album Update - Mary Job Akeley
    2. Ann (Jobe) Brown
    3. Since I keep getting pointed toward Thomas Vernon Job group, (Randy's cecil co., MD documents and Donna's trip to the brick), I decided to start with the ones that I have for his group to post. Will also be sending some to Patti and possibly Tracey in between. Patti will be announcing the ones she does, after the index page is updated and she has them posted. Some of these I may have had for a long time in my file and some I may not remember the submitter. If I post something and it is from you and you aren't given credit - HOLLOR. >grin< By the way, if you have something to post for Thomas Vernon Job group - then do go ahead and send that to me, personally at ann@personainternet.com ASAP. (Since the albums are better organized now, I'm hoping things will go faster than before and be less frustrating). And will be stopping whatever I'm doing to post any of Randys early ones and if an interesting letter comes in - I could be off on a quick research trip. Know Jobe Legacy needs to be updated again as I've added quite a few new things in the last couple of days. 1. [JOBE] Executor's Testimony Concerning John White's Will
    2. JAMES JOBE
    3. This document shows Archibald Job and John White Jr., as the Executors of John White Sr.'s will, upholding a descision for his widow Agnes to retain 1/3 of his estate as stated in John's will. But it removes the stiplation that she would return any portion to the heirs, should she die or remarry as stated in his original will. We have John's will, this final descision, but not the beginning court proceedings concerning this matter. We also don't have a record of this marriage yet. If we did we could come close to a death date for Mary Job White. Looks like he married first Fannie Jane Francis. The 1910 census showed a 2nd marriage to Sallie and married 13 years. Ann (Jobe) Brown
