    1. [JOBE] NEW ALBUMS: Children of Cousins Jeremiah McKay and Callie Tipton
    2. Ann (Jobe) Brown
    3. I have more for these groups but they will go in albums which are already made - though I'll have to redo the index page from Memorials to Photos/Memorials. Trying not to get confused with this group as have several and they or they parents are cousins or from cousin parents. Here are the 4 new ones which I just made. These appear in 2 places on the Abraham Jobe site as descend from Mary (Job) and Moses MacKay and also from Mary's brother, David Job. All of these photos are courtsy of Donna (Duck) Murray and most are very OLD photos from about 1910-1925 time frame. ----------- Willie Neoma McKay and Kenneth Hicks 'Kinnie' Duck Photos http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ajobebrown/jobe/album/willie_mckay_duck.html #1Willie (McKay) Duck and brother John McKay (abt 1920) #2 Willie Neoma (McKay) and Kinnie Duck Tombstone - buried Sunset Cemetery, Montague Co., Texas. -------- Mattie Ruth McKay and Raymond Ward and Charley W. 1. [JOBE] Monroe County, Kentucky Heritage Festival
    2. JAMES JOBE
    3. Invitation Y'all, As many of you know, many Jobe (amongst other) families that left East Tennessee for parts West, passed through The Barrens, i.e. the Monroe County, Kentucky area. It was kind of a jumping off place like Independence, MO before there was an Independence. Once again, it's time to join our cousins to celebrate that heritage. And I would like to personally invite each of you to be a part. I have attended this event before, even receiving certificates for achiements in genealogy for the Job/Jobe family amongst others. The event dates in Tompkinsville are April 25-27, 2008. I do plan on attending this year (in period costume) and taking part in the Genealogy Swap (I hope to take a computer with peripherals), Antique gun show (I own a Civil War era gun), and many more activities. My children love the events and dress too. I will also plan on visiting cemeteries with anyone interested and tell those hand-me-down stories. Our cousin, Sheila Jobe Rush is now the director of The Old Mulkey Meeting House. For the Jobe's, Ann's Job line helped found it, Freida's Job line served the church, and my Jobe line attended and help restore it to what is today a State Park. Sheila sent me the following letter describing the planned events so far. I am sure there will be more added. Randy, Just met with the Heritage Festival Planning Committee. These are the plans thus far. This years Festival will focus on the Civil War era as this is the beginning of Kentucky's two year celebration of Abe Lincoln's birthday. We will begin on Friday night with the Founding Families Dinner. Period music and appearances will be the highlight of the event which will close with a geneaolgy swap meet. Participants are encouraged to come in period accurate clothing. On Sat. we hope to have something of an interactive trade fair, a Heritage Art Show, an Antique gun/cannon show and children's games (corn shelling, pig walking, frog jumping, whittling and costume). The event will close with a bluegrass/gospel singing to benefit the Monroe County Family Wellness Center. Sheila Rush Director Old Mulkey Meetinghouse State Historic Site 38 Old Mulkey Park Road Tompkinsville, KY 42167 270-487-8481 I look forward to visiting my kin (we have been in this area for 200 years) and hope to see y'all there. If you have any questions or comments, looking for lodging, etc., contact me rjobe@bellsouth.net or Sheila sheila.rush@ky.gov See You There!
