    1. [JOB] Album Updates

    3. *FIRST of all would like to say that I've very happy, actually THRILLED and RELIEVED, to report that Patti now has ALL the Hannah (Jobe) Logue albums and within a couple of days, they should ALL be saved and moved to her site. It will take me a while to catch up on the indexes and link transfers - but those who are Logue descendant can relax and might even take a minute and give Patti a BIG THANK YOU. But to us, this is a milestone and the Jobe-Logue descendants are one that Freida and I spent years of researching and until the past 8-9 years were unknown. When we found out that imagestation was closing, this was one group, along with the Odles which we're also working on, that I really didn't expect to be saved. THANK YOU Freida for discovering the group, all the work you've done on it in the past and THANK YOU Patti for 'saving' the albums for public view. Know some of you might be wondering why I'm not getting more links done each day. Well the index pages takes TIME and the links have to be changed in more than one place. Plus I take time out for new research that is coming in, such as the new Jobe information that came in yesterday. Also, Patti and I spent over 7 hours yesterday, getting files ready, resizing, adjusting, making sure all was there, and sending by pando for Patti to download. And sometimes this system works like a charm, and other times - Murphy's law comes into effect - If it can go wrong - it does. Plus for about week, the file manager on the freepages site was crawling like a snail. Then several times I would try to send a letter and it wouldn't go out, and would have to try again - the reason for the duplicates yesterday. Then there was a whole day I couldn't get on to Fotki. And for my Samuel Jobe and Dorcas, I just literally 'threw' everything on the site I created to organize later - to give me an idea of the space needed and how far I would be able to do there. So albums have to have descriptions, photos have to have descriptions, albums divided, some are missing and I have to go searching on CD or hope I can still get from imagestation and then one index page becomes 12 as you'll see in the next group - the Iraby Stone Jobe group, which is really a mess. Sure wish I was 4- 5 people with that many different computers also, though not sure Allan and Chantale would be happy about it. >grin< *REMEMBER there are still whole families that do not have anyone to take them over. I can already hear the 'screams' and 'why was my family not saved' when February the 1st comes and these albums will no longer be viewed. Already, they can't be enlarged to orginal size.
