My 2nd great-grandfather Uriah J Dowthitt was the grandson of William Dowthitte and Sarah Jobe (d/o thomas Job). Two of Uriah's daughters were named Ella Dowthitt (b 1857-ish) and Alice Bell Dowthitt (my line) b 1860. We've been wondering where those names came from.
