Marilyn, who descends from a different Jobe family, had seen our Job(e) web and wrote me about her line. Then she just happened to mention that a few years back she had bought these pictures at an antique store and wondered if I knew who they were. The names were on the back of the pictures. Well sure enough I recognized and immediately had written Freida about them as she had done so much research on this group and they were from her home county in Kansas. One picture also had several others in this county who we are trying to identify. Well she arranged to buy them and now they are in the society there for all to see. *Don't forget that you can click on the pictures to enlarge. If you happen to recognize any of the people in the Sunday school class - please let me know. Thanks! #1 William Shepherd Jobe Family, 1908.Taken in Sedan Chautauqua Co KS. by Avery. There is an interesting story behind this photo, it was found in an antique store in Springfield, MO by Marilyn Siebert. She wrote to Ann Brown who in turn sent the letter to Freida Wells who contacted Marilyn. Freida purchased this one and one like it and another photo you will see next to go back to Sedan, Chautauqua Co., KS to the Historical and Genealogy Society library. It is nice to have people like Marilyn who rescues photos from places like this. It is not known how it ended up there. She gave $5 for all three because the owner of the shop thought she would never find anyone related to them! Submitted by Freida Wells #2 Methodist Episcopal Church, Sunday School Class, Peru, Ks. Charles Louis Jobe 4th row center. Found by Marilyn Siebert in Springfield MO in an antique shop, purchased and submitted by Freida Wells. Ann (Jobe) Brown
