The following obituary is on the second wife of Everett Jobe, s/o Thomas Porter Jobe, gs/o Andrew Job and Sarah Adkins, gr gs/o Robert Job and Polly Long and 2nd gr gs/o Enoch Job and Lucretia ?. She was born Jan. 26, 1886, at 203 S. Fourth St. Arkansas City, the daughter of Joseph and Jennie Hoskin, who came from England and were pioneers in this and the Newkirk communities. I 1882, they lived in a cottage at 201 W. Fifth Ave., where their first child was born, later at 203 S. Fourth St. Hoskin was a blacksmith instructor for many years until his health failed. He was in the Cherokee Strip run and stake a claim three miles northwest of Newkirk on which Fred Hoskin, the son and only survivor of the family still lives. At the age of four years, Jennie Hoskin became a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Arkansas City. In 1906, she was united in marriage to Gallen Ford, who died in 1934. In November, 1941, she was married to Everett Jobe. Survivors include her husband of the home, 1122 S Second St., one brother, Fred Hoskin, Newkirk; two nieces, Mrs. Etheleen Stone, Pampa Tex, and Mrs. Florence Langley, Arkansas City; and a nephew, Julian Ford, Nowata, Okla. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and an infant son. Funeral services will be held in the Jess Rindt Chapel, Thursday, 10 a.m. with the Rev. Don Gibson, assistant minister of Central Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Newkirk Cemetery. --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
