    3. Got this from a friend. Patti Jobe Patti, I'm on the SUTTON list thru Rootsweb. Anyway this obit came thru on Sun. Don't know the woman but her maiden name is Jobe. Just caught my eye. If its like most of the Sutton's which are my hubby's grandmother's family; these Jobe's are probably NO relation either. But thought I'd pass it on just in case. Published in the Oklahoma City, OK - Oklahoman 1/31/2004 Sylvia Louise, 83, of Edmond, OK passed away on Jan. 29, 2004 at Deaconess Hospital. She was born March 22, 1920 in Marlow, OK to Winston and Viola Jobe. She attended school in Loco, OK and business college in Lawton. She married Frank P. Sutton on March 1, 1940 and was married for 55 years. He was employed by Halliburton's for 40 years and he preceded her in death in 1995. She lived the past 8 years in Edmond, OK, and before that in Duncan, OK for 56 years. She retired from the City of Duncan after 15 years and also worked at Edward's Home Furnishings for a number of years. She is survived by children: Robert & Deanna (Sutton) Clark, Oklahoma City, Joe & Martha Sutton, Mustang, OK, Bob & Linda (Sutton) Fraley, Oklahoma City; 3 brothers: Clayton & Nola Jobe, Granbury, TX, Warne & Jeanie Jobe, Edinburg, TX, W.D. & Merry Jobe, Loco (both deceased); grandchildren: Rex & Rita Warshell, Krista (Warshell) & Joey Oshman, Maranda (Sutton) & Gil Kiaha, Maressa (Fraley) & Mike Anderson, Bruce & Cara Fraley, Andrea Fraley, MD, Alesha Fraley; great grandchildren: Sean Warshell, Cody Oshman, Zachary Sutton, Ena Kiaha, Maggie Anderson, Mallory Anderson. Mrs. Sutton was an active member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Duncan for 50 years before she became ill and moved to be near her children in the Oklahoma City area. She served in many capacities at the church in Duncan, her main role as a Sunday school teacher. She was an active member of Phi Sigma Alpha from 1984 to 1996. Mrs. Sutton's hobbies included ceramics, floral arranging, reading and gardening. She was a giving, kind, compassionate, gentle soul who was very involved with her family. She was famous for her wonderful meals and hot rolls, and she always had a smile for you. She had a wonderful laugh, and had unconditional love for everyone. She loved her church, her community, and her God. She lived an exemplary Christian life. The funeral service will be held at the Heritage Nazarene Church in Duncan, OK at 2:00 p.m. January 31, 2004. Body will lie in state at Carter Smart Funeral Home in Duncan, OK.
