However, if you use the SSDI search engine on the FTM site at http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/fto_ssdisearch.html and select it to use the soundex feature, you will find "Frase, Elaine born May 22, 1919 and died June 1983 with last known residence as Franklin, Virginia 23851 **This corresponds with the 1920-1930 census and you already know she taught in Virginia. Really believe we've found her and if you can check newspapers for Franklin, VA for this time frame, you'll probably find the obituary.
