    3. Hello all, I wanted to write and share a story with you that I received todayregarding Elizabeth Jobe sister to my gr grandmother Sarah Ann Jobe. Elizabeth was the d/o Edward Jobe and Isabelle Fincher, gd/o James Jobe and Margaret Stone and gr gd/o Enoch Job and Lucretia? For a long time now Ann and I had been trying to figure out what had happened to the first husband of Elizabeth, Henry Francis. They were married August 17, 1848 in Cole co., Missouri, I have a copy of their marriage record and it is online in her album. Then on the 1850 census she is living with her parents with her small son. Henry Francis is NO where to be found. Well today it all came clear as to what happened to Henry. I received this story from and Francis descendant and researcher. I wanted to share with you. We are hoping that the journal will turn up somewhere and that I can also get a copy of it. I will keep you posted of any new developments. It would be exciting to have such a journal to share with you and to place in the Memory Lane section of our notes online. Freida Henry Francis was born 1822/1832 (both dates shownon records. He was one of 11 children belonging to Pearl and Harriet Taylor Francis of Lincoln County, Kentucky. I have the name of the other children, but will wait and provide that information later. Henry and his father, Pearl, joined a wagon-train in Independence, Missouri on April 11, 1850. They were enroute to California to meet two of Henry's brothers (Lunsford and William J.) Henry and Pearl both died enroute. I have the month and date of death of Henry (June, 1850). Pearl died June 21, 1850. They are buried together in or near Fort Laramie, Wyoming. The wagon-train arrived in California in October, 1850 and I have been told there was a journal of the trip.
