    3. Randy, That has always intrigued me. And why was Caleb and Joshua 'fighting' over Margaret MacKay when Caleb was already married to Dorcas. 3. I just have one wish, a time machine so that I could visit with all of them on a one on one basis and a super duper digital camerawith ulimited storage. But most of all, I would just like to talk with my mother and dad just one more time. Stan Jobe

    3. Ditto! (a little late--lol) Obviously I would love to talk with grandparents again--and many historical figures--but in the Job/Jobe line, I think I'd like to visit with Andrew Job, Jr about his interesting life. Also with Enoch Job/e, Jr. regarding his service in the Rev War--and find out who Elisha Jobe's first wife was!!!!!!!!! *smile* xoxo Patti Well I almost forgot that it was Thanksgiving in the states 'back home' since we celebrated ours here in Canada - a month and a half ago. Know I was talking to Stan earlier and didn't even say a word about it. Sometimes when you're in a different country, it is easy to momentarily forget holidays that 'change' dates. And then for so many years, after I came to Canada, I would just 'black out' the last week of November. We all have so much to be thankful for. Know Patti and I would have to agree - having out sons back from the war and back in North America has to top our lists. Thanksgiving, as a child, I always went to Grandma Jobes where we would have a combination Thanksgiving, and 3 birthday celebrations at once. Grandma's birthday was November 23rd. My Mother usually had to work - busy day for a telephone operator in the 1950's and 1960's. On one of my lists, there is a discussion going on about who in the past you would like to be able to talk to and what you would like to ask them. I would just like to go back and have some of Daddy's very spicy stuffing, Auntie's peach cobbler, and the real old-fashioned fruit salad and it was sweet. Then sit on the old front porch in Weatherford, Texas with Grandma and 'truly listen' to her stories of how they never really 'lacked' in the depression - even though she was a widow with 9 children - having lost Grandpa Jobe during the flu epidemic in April 1919 when Daddy was 3 months old. And at Grandmas on Thanksgiving, you just never knew who might show up for a 'surprise' visit. Now that I think back, there sure isn't many of us left that used to fill that old house. Remember Daddy was the youngest of the 9 and he was almost 33 when I was born. Now if I was going to go further in the past, I would kind of like to have had a long hug with Dorcas (MacKay) Job. And the one that I really feel for and have the most questions for would be Barbary - wife of Caleb Job. Bless you all. 1. [JOB] Caleb Job Page now 2 sites
    2. Ann (Jobe) Brown
    3. The Caleb Job old page is now 2 sites. Caleb Job (2nd site for sons Nathan and Jacob) - note the 2 after caleb http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ajobebrown/j_caleb2.html Caleb Job (old site - same link as before) (for my Samuel and Dorcas and Elizabeth Job Leath) http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ajobebrown/j_caleb.html *As you can see on the original link, I've removed the note about the albums closing , as ALL the albums on that page has now been moved, or very soon will be - only my grandpa Jesse and his siblings are left. Also, on this page, I'll be adding more quick links throughout so I can get to someone quicker without having to go through the entire page. Ann (Jobe) Brown

One will be able to get to both sites from the main links page and also from either of the Caleb sites. The two Samuel and Dorcas sites ----same link as now will be Caleb's 2 children - Samuel Job and Dorcas MacKay and Elizabeth (Job) Leath - the two whose albums I have now moved and almost completed. ----the 2nd site will be for Caleb's other 2 sons - Nathan Job who married Lydia McCarty and Jacob Jobe who married Dorcas MacKay. These 2 groups intermarried many times and mostly lived in the Washington-Sullivan Co., TN area and/or Monroe-Barren Co., KY areas. The albums for these two families are being managed by Randy and Tracey.
