    3. What wonderful treasures to be passed along through the family. Thanks for sharing. I like the idea of putting these on the website for all to see. We have a couple of items that were given to us that supposedly belonged to Max's Jobe grandparents. I'll get my act together and take a few photos and send them along. We appreciate all that you do. 3. that was fun to look at--plus all your other heirlooms and treasures. Thanks! Patti Hello all, Sorry you do not hear from me that often anymore, but a lot of my time is spent with my Mother who is now in a nursing home. We celebrated her 85th birthday on January 1, 2008 For years my Mother collected antique banks. She has now passed them down to my son Robert. They are full of money and some even have silver certificates in them. I have them at present, and wanted to get pictures of them preserved to cd. I had told Ann about them and she agreed that they needed to be posted. So if you would like to take a glimpse in the past, here are some real jewels. There are 22 in all. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ajobebrown/jobe/heirlooms/mary_alice_banks.html The little Safe Bank is now worth $495.00. It is 3 inches high, it is really small. I need to do some research on the working banks also they are real collectors items now. I hope you enjoy something that has been in my life for many years. 1. [JOB] Job(e) Legacy Updated
    2. Ann (Jobe) Brown
    3. Just updated Job(e) Legacy with all the new information that I discovered on Elisha's descendats - esepcailly the Birdsongs, Fosters, Newtons, etc. There are 37 'new entries' but several that were also found to be cousins and combined. http://wc.rootsweb.com/~ajobebrown Margaret, The family you were asking about can be found at http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=ajobebrown&id=I20268 --I now have death dates for children Lydia and Hildred that I didn't have before. The Cora A. (Jobe) Foster Williams Birdsong information can be found at http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=ajobebrown&id=I77786 *Before only had the Birdsong marriage for her and didn't have Thomas linked with his parents who is a Jobe descendant himself. The Susie Newton - Rube Williams family can be found at http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=ajobebrown&id=I42540 *lots of new information for this family. Another family to check out is the Elisha Martin Jobe and Mary E. Jobe and Hester Jane Jobe family http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=ajobebrown&id=I07917 Emily Ellen 'Ella' Jobe, Cora's sister, married William Edgar Williams, s/o Rube Williams and Susie Newton. To sum some of it up - take a look at this pedigree chart for Earl R. Williams http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=PED&db=ajobebrown&id=I84098 If anyone can add anything to any of these - please write me. Ann (Jobe) Brown ann@personainternet.com

    1. Re: [JOB] Elisha Jobe (son of Enoch of MO) - some new info
    2. Ann (Jobe) Brown
    3. Funny, I was just working on this some more and was just looking at Lou Ann Jobe's death certificate and her husband. Lou Ann Jobe married Joseph Anderson Newton (just had Joseph A. before - but death certificate does show a middle name of Anderson). I also found their daughter, Lydia's death certificate in Excelsior Springs, Clay Co., Missouri on September 15, 1955. And yes Joseph Anderson Newton is also a Jobe descendant. He was s/o Isaac Newton and Lydia A. Jobe. He was a brother to the Susan J. 'Susie' Newton who married her Jobe cousin, Reubin H. 'Rube' Williams, s/o James Williams and Sarah Jane Jobe. Anyone researching Elisha Jobe's descendants - be sure and check the next update - lots of new information from death certificates, Find a Grave Site, census, etc. And LOTS of intermarriages. I'll try and update Legacy this afternoon. Even though it was done recently, a lot of new information and tie ins on Elisha's group. So been keeping busy doing this, putting things together (what I love most) while waiting for Patti and Randy. They do have the albums saved that they are doing - so no danger of losing them. Patti, was good to hear form you - was beginning to get concerned. She has had one 'hectic' month or I should say 6-7 weeks now and Randy is finding all sorts of new data to add that wasn't posted before. Also been organizing the file that I have of NEW things to post to the albums. Will be starting that before long. If you haven't checked out the Brick Biennial book - it is really something, very interesting reading and the Jobe family is mentioned several times. A big THANK YOU for posting it for all of us to see. By the way, even though it doesn't say so yet, the 1940 death records for Missouri can now be seen. Freida, I was just looking at John Vandiver Jobe. 3. Cora's husband, James I. Williams and her parents, Rube and Susie Williams are in the cemetery below. I was trying to decide if that middle initial for James was an I or J. http://www.rootsweb.com/~momiller/dooley_cemetery.html Williams, Emiley E. 1882 - 1958 same stone as William E. 1. [JOB] Elisha Jobe (son of Enoch of MO) - some new info
    2. Ann (Jobe) Brown
    3. Well I accidentally found some new information on some of the descendants and more intermarriages between them. I was looking at the Find a Grave Site for Jobe and came across some Jobe and Birdsongs buried at the Hickman Cemetery and came across a listing Cora A Jobe Birdsong Well this quickly got my attention. First of all my name was Cora A(nn) Jobe and I didn't have this person in my file - at least not married to a Birdsong. So the search began. ------- Birth: Oct. 13, 1880 Missouri, USA Death: May 10, 1954 Clarksburg (Moniteau County) Moniteau County Missouri, USA Wife of Thomas Birdsong Daughter of E M and Hester Jane Jobe according to death certificate. Also shows DOB Oct 13 1881. Born in Rocky Mount MO Death by carcinoma of liver ------------- In this same Cemetery is Thomas Milton Birdsong Birth: Feb. 27, 1866 Clarksburg (Moniteau County) Moniteau County Missouri, USA Death: Mar. 13, 1948 Clarksburg (Moniteau County) Moniteau County Missouri, USA Husband of Effie Swinford Husband of Cora Jobe Foster March 2 1935 Moniteau Co MO Son of Preston and Mary Elizabeth Jobe Birdsong ----------------- Well it is getting more interesting. So we now know that Cora was d/o Elisha Martin Jobe and Hester Jane Jobe. She had previously married a Foster. Elisha Martin Jobe was s/o Reuben H. Jobe and Nancy Landrum. Hester was d/o Henry Jobe and Sarah Ann Headrick. Both Reuben and Henry descend from Elisha Jobe. 1920 -Moniteau Co., Missouri Lashlee Foster 70 Cora A Foster 39 Virginia Foster 6 Harold Foster 4 7/12 ----------- 1930 -Moniteau Co., Missouri Cora A Foster 49 Harold Foster 14 *Also found out that this Lashia 'Lashley' Foster was m/1 to Nancy J. Allee who had died March 28, 1910 Moniteau Co., Missouri. I also found this Virginia's death certificate and her mother was listed as Cora A. Jobe. -------- Then I found MARRIAGES OF MONITEAU COUNTY, MO 1910-1914 PERFORMED BY B. N. BYBEE, PROBATE COURT JUDGE Rec 336---30 Apr 1912 Lashla FOSTER of Clarksburg, Moniteau Co. MO Cora A. WILLIAMS of Barnett, Morgan Co. MO ------------ So we have yet another marriage for this Cora. I finally found it also She was married to James Williams Oct 8, 1899 Miller Co., MO. Found them 1900 -Miller Co., MO James J. Williams June 1876 MO Cora Sept 1881 MO *4 families form her parents *I'm still missing Cora in 1910. ---------- But the mystery continues - James J. Williams is actually her cousin and also a Jobe descendant. He is the s/o Reubin H. Williams and Susan J. Newton. I only had 2 boys for Reuben and Susan but they had a lot more children. Rebuen was the s/o James Williams and Sarah Jane JOBE who married Feb 23, 1849 Moniteau Co., MO. Sarah was the d/o Elisha Jobe and Elizabeth Jane Williams. 1900 -Miller Co., Missouri R H Williams 46 Susan Williams 41 Wm Eger Williams 20 Grace L Williams 16 Charley F Williams 9 Sterlin D Williams 6 Harry R Williams 4 Ollie C Williams 4.12 ------------------ 1910 -Miller Co., MO Rheuban h Williams 55 Susan J Williams 50 Grace L Williams 26 Charley F Williams 19 Sterling D Williams 17 Harry R Williams 14 Ola C Williams 10 --------- If you can add anything more - please let me know. Love these types of puzzles. >grin< This will all be on the next update of Job(e) Legacy. Ann (Jobe) Brown

New photos were added to Freida's parents at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ajobebrown/jobe/heirlooms/puckett_hoskins.html and a new heirloom page has been set up for Randy's grandparents at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ajobebrown/jobe/heirlooms/buddie_myrtle.html Randy, could use some notes for some of these. Sure you have more to add - but saw these when I was 'cleaning up' the old computer and knew where they went. I have no idea what a stereo optigon is or the significance of a Jacob's Ladder quilt. Randy - forward this link on to Larry to look at. If you're a descendant of Andrew Job JUNIOR and have something for the heirloom site to add - please send a photo (jpg format) and a brief description or story about it directly to me at ann@personainternet.com I also found the spoons that Andrew Krecker Jobe made so will be starting a heirloom page for him also. The heirloom pages were Freida's idea (a great one too) and they are linked under the proper family with the album links. Ann (Jobe) Brown

    1. [JOB] Vista and FTM, Job(e) Branches Updated
    2. Ann (Jobe) Brown
    3. As most know, I'm now working with vista and a new computer. In case anyone is wondering, FTM 2006, version 16 will work with vista, however, there is a patch that you must download and it tells you about it immediately and asks if you want to download it. The next big hurdle was to figure out how to go about making a gedcom, and getting it uploaded to World Connect. I have 14 major files on World Connect and 7 minor ones. When I tried it like before, it wouldn't work as the gedcom couldn't be located in the FTM program file where I saved it before. With Vista, when you save the gedcom, you have to save it to your document folder and upload it from there. No problem, and easy - once you know, but frustrating when you don't know what the problem is. To be honest, so far I really like vista, but you have to give it a chance and get used to it. I have to set it up to remind me to do backups and will be doing that once I get used to my new all in -one. I've now updated 6 of the major files. Anyone else working with Vista and have any 'pointers' for me - please write me at ann@personainternet.com Job(e) Branches has 43 new entries. http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/~ajobebrown2 Ann (Jobe) Brown
