Goodevening all, I hope this letter finds all of you well and staying cool, it is 101 here in KS where I am. Once again I have been working on my direct line and have filled in yet another family. This is Martha J. Jobe, sister to my great grandmother Sarah Ann Jobe Copple / Myers. They were daughters of Edward J. Jobe and Isabelle Fincher, gds/o James M. Jobe and Margaret Stone, gt gds/o Enoch Jobe and Lucretia. Martha married Charles Edward Bellisime. In researching I found this name to be spelled 5 different ways, so was quite a challenge, but did manage to locate all of her children. Her daughter Hattie lived, raised a family, died and is buried not far from where I live. So hope to plan a trip there when it cools off, probably in September. That would make a nice birthday and anniversary present. Anyway here is the albums that I have made and to read more about them you can always visit my family tree at this address: Joshua Job & Margaret McKay - Chester Co., Pennsylvania to Shenandoah Co., Virginia http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=fwells 1. I've been looking at the MO online death certificates and I've made 2 discoveries and this information will be on the next update of Legacy. In summary, they are 1) Andrew Jackson 'Andy' Job and Delilah (Sherwood) - s/o Jeremiah Job and Margaret Elizabeth 'Peggy' Thorpe and gs/o Zachariah 'Zechariah' Job and Elizabeth Odell and gt gs/o Moses Job. Andrew and Delilah had 4 children (I only had 3 before). AFter Andrew's death, Delilah married Isaac Mason. On the 1870 Lewis Co., MO census, the Job children are listed as Mason. There will be more coming on this line. 2) Mary Ellen Jobe (had Mary Eliza before) was d/o Abraham S. Jobe and Clarinda Chandler and gd/o Elisha Jobe and Unknown 1st wife and gt gd/o Enoch Jobe of Cole Co., MO. Mary Ellen Jobe married Charles B. Williams Jan 21, 1869 Moniteau Co., MO. She had 9 children and I have names for 8. They are on the 1880 and 1900 Moniteau Co., MO census. Mary and Charles died in Henry Co., MO and buried in the Windsor cemetery there. See the next update for more. Hope everyone has a Happy 4th of July. We just celebrated Canada Day and having a good visit with my son who is home on leave for another few days. Ann (Jobe) Brown
FYI.. have not tired myself as won't be home to do it. If this does work, please let the list know so others can try it. Does not say when it started or when it ends. Freida Saw this message on another list. Hope it helps with your ancestors. You can search the 1930 Census for free for 3 days. Really. You won't need a credit card. You will need to give your names and email address..... but you get three full days - 72 hours of searching the 1930 census records for your ancestors - looking at the census images and printing them out for your files. You can get all the information here. Use the link on this page below to access the Census. http://www.familyoldphotos.com/6c/1930census.html

Ann, Regarding Peter Fine, I'm sure you know he had a store in Cocke Co. 1780s-1790s. Apparently one of his descendants has a ledge for it, and it hasn't been transcribed. I joined the Fine list a couple of years ago, and started a discussion. They located it and were discussing access. Maybe I'll join again and see if there is any news. At least I did find that Thomas Williams was in Cocke County by 1800. I have some other information from the Sevier County website on the Odells, but I am trying to determine exactly what one of the documents is and sent an email to them. Thanks Janet for sending this. There was new information here and I had never seen this. I'm especially interested in the Peter Fine as he is a brother to David Fine who married Ann Corder. This Ann (Corder) Fine was a sister to Martha "Patty' Corder who married Jacob JOB - a brother to MY own Isaac Job - both sons of Samuel Job and Dorcas MacKay. He also went to Missouri. Also descendants of these Fine ended up marrying into my own group - right there in Oregon Co., MO. Hello Everyone, I thought this might be of interest. The Sevier Co. TN Library has quite a bit of information on Sevier, Cocke & Jefferson Co. transcribed and online. This is the first of three emails I've been meaning to do, and Frieda's Odell/Pryor post earlier jogged my memory. Via a google search, probably Thomas Williams Cocke, I came across a transcription of the "Commission Book of Governor John Sevier, April 2, 1796 - June 16, 1801, State of Tennessee" http://www.sevierlibrary.org/genealogy/state/commbook.htm It has the following Jobe references. At Ann's website I noticed the bit about William Jobe being sheriff, but not justice of the peace (though I just searched for "peace" so it could have been there). I didn't see the above document referenced if memory serves (was this morning -- done alot since then - smile). Basically the Commission Book covers the entire state of Tennessee cataloguing local and state appointments. Might be other items of interest for other names for many of you there. These are the four entries below. I did not check out whether Abraham Jobe commission as cornet in the Washington Co. cavalry was mentioned in the gedcom online. The Thomas Williams I include because I believe he is the father of my James Williams, wife Susannah (surname unknown -- not the Webb), who died 1842 in Cole (now Moniteau Co MO), and thus the ancestor of many descendants of Jobes/Byrds, etc. there with marriages to the various children & grandchildren of James & Susannah. I believe that the Thomas Williams below, or "a Thomas Williams" was the father of the mentioned James because in the 1870s, a deed from my Thomas L. Williams, s/o James and Susannah, dated 1842 was re-recorded in Cocke Co., which is mostly burned before the Civil War. Now wasn't that a stroke of luck! The deed is to two Bryants, mentions a Denton, and said it was land originally patented to Thomas Williams (see next email), all of whom are neighbors of the Williams from the mid 1810s at latest. In 1830 Cocke Co. Census, James & Susannah are next door to an elderly Elizabeth Williams, I assume Thomas' widow. From the Commision Book: "Peter Fine and William Job commissioned Justices of the Peace in and for the County of Jefferson, August 15th 1796." "Abraham Jobe of the County of Washington commissioned Cornet in the regiment of cavalry of the district of Washington during good behaviour; December 6th 1800." "William Lillard, Abraham McKy, Reps Jones, Thomas Rogers, Peter Fine, John Inman, Thomas Jones, John Caffey, John McNab, William Job and Joseph Hoff commissioned Justices of the Peace, in and for the County of Cocke during good behaviour, October 28th 1797." "William Jobe esquire commissioned Sheriff in and for the County of Cocke, for the term of two years from the fourth Monday of November 1797 this 18th day of January 1798." "Thomas Williams and William Washington Neely commissioned Lieutenants in the regiment of Cocke County during good behaviour; June 16th 1800." With my best regards, Janet (Baugh) Hunter

For those of you that Descend from Andrew Job, Jr. especially thru his son Joshua like I do, this was a welcome letter. Diana Quinones sent me two websites. One is a photo of the New Garden MM House where Joshua Job's birth was recorded. She also sent me a website for the church which is still being used today. Thought all of you might like to see them and save the photos now that we have one of it. "From Diana" There is a picture of the New Garden Monthly Meeting at this link: http://www.midatlanticarchives.com/photos_pa_chester_co/newgarden_friends_meeting.htm You can right click and copy it, if you want a pic. It was started in 1718 according to Humphrey's Chester County Birth books, but seems earlier since the JOBS were showing there with their children earlier. I think there is also a website for New Garden MM which also has another picture. http://www.localquakers.org/NewGarden.html
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL OUR FATHER'S OUT THERE!!! Ann and I are still working on the Joseph Pryor and Sarah Odle line. http://www.familyoldphotos.com/ The following link came to me from another list. In the top right hand corner you can search for family names, I typed in JOBE and came up with a photo of 1. Blanche Summers of Greenville, Mercer County, Pa. who is the d/o William Summers and Lydia Jobe. It is a wonderful oval picture. 2. Irvin and Blanche Summers Kitch , I would say it could be a wedding picture also in very good condition. He was the s/o Joshua Kitch and Elizabeth Ann Trine of Otter Creek Township, Mercer Co, PA. 3. Photo taken at the Summers Family Reunion in Worth Twp, Mercer Co, PA, abt 1930-35. or you can go right to the index of all photos that are there: http://www.familyoldphotos.com/index-az/a-z/a/pa-a.htm I was not able to indentify the Lydia Jobe that was mentioned, so maybe Ann can tell us who this family is. Happy Memorial Day Freida
I'm copying the list also. Now what are we officially going to call this cemetery since we already have other Jackson Cemeteries? Ok we know the G. Jackson born 1814 is the s/o George Jackson and Elizabeth 'Betsy' Jobe and gs/o Jacob Job and Deborah MacKay. He was married 3 times. Elizabeth born 1816 is his first wife, Elizabeth 'Betsy' 'Betty' Hale - d/o Chase Hale and Clary 'Clarissa' Kincheloe. The yung George Jackson born 1857 is the youngest s/o George Jackson and Elizabeth Hale. Before just had born about 1858 and died between 1860 and 1870 - so all fits for him. Now for this N. M. Jackson - we don't even know if this is a man or woman, and if a woman a married name.Just how clear was the dates for this one? Any possiblity of an obituary since we have a date. I checked 1930 census but nothing jumps out. I did not have complete dates for this so this is a real discovery. Please send me the actual photos of the Bible record also and of the cemetery when you get a chance.
