    3. Greetings all, On February 12, I began going thru my paper files, rescanning all documents and making sure that I had all information regarding my great-grandmother's first family entered into FTM. This would be her family with husband John Alexander Copple, Sr. I now have all that done. I then set out to make all new albums for each of her children and grandchildren which I also now have done. Ann has all of them posted and they are listed below. I am now beginning to work on her second family, mine. This will be my grandmother Mary Augusta Myers the only child born to Sarah Ann Jobe Copple-Myers and Simpson Myers and her children. When I get this family done I will announce to the list for those of you who are interested. I will also be making new photos and memorial albums for all of them. The way Ann will be listing them is the albums will all be together and each will depict what it is either Records, Photos or Memorials. 1. [JOB] Re-organization and few changes on main links page
    2. Ann (Jobe) Brown
    3. I'm continuing with the re-organization of the photo and Memorial albums so that they 'better reflect' what is actually in the album and hopefully get names that will show up on the main links page and the search engines that people will recognize. I've had several requests to do this. I've started with the Thomas Vernon Job group. I'm also changing my e-mail address to reflect the persona one as I go and adding any new photos that I have for these groupings. On some of the albums, it just means a renaming of the album and a different place on the main links page. On the main links page http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ajobebrown/jobe.html also a couple of changes. The index of the albums are now written as INDEX and that is all it says. Since it is next to a title which will include the name of the Job(e) descendant and his/her spouse and the type of album - there is no need for any other information to reflect which type of index it is. *Within Andrew Job Jr's children: --Dark blue lines divide Andrew Jr's children and there are quick links to each of these -----------(for example my/Randy's Caleb Job and Freida/Patti's Joshua Job) --the medium red line divides Andrew JR's grandchildren and they have names centered and quick links to them -------------(for example my Samuel Job - Dorcas MacKay, Randy's Jacob Job - Deborah MacKay and Freida and Patti's Enoch Job Sr. and Unknown) --the short green line divides Andrew Jr's gt grandchildren -------------(for example my Isaac Job(e), Randy's Samuel Job - Barbary Adwell and Freida and Patti's Enoch Job(e) Jr and Lucretia ?/Mrs. Sarah Martin) --and the new **** line divides Andrew Jr's gt gt grandchildren -------------(for example my Eli B. Jobe - Prudence ?,( Randy's Zachariah Jobe - Prissie Hale) , (Freida's James Jobe - Margaret Stone ) and (Patti's Elisha Jobe and his 3 wives) **I find that most people, especially new researchers, need to get to the *** before they get to a name that they recognize and we rarely find a picture or tombstone before we get to this grouping. Any that we do find before this grouping will probably eventually be put in the records album. Though would love to find a picture or tombstone picture of my Isaac Job(e), Randy's Samuel Job(e) or Freida and Patti's Enoch Job Jr, I really don't think that we are going to find one. <grin> Ann (Jobe) Brown [email protected]

    3. Greetings, I don't know if any of you have been on Image Station looking at our wonderful collection of albums, but if not some changes have been made by Image Station. They have changed the way you enlarge the images and save them. Now when you click onto an image they will appear with the text at the top of the image and then at the bottom it will say: Download Original Image Note: Original image file may be slow on slow connections. It will also tell you below that how big the file is, what format it was uploaded in and also if a flash was used and if it is b&w or color. Some changes were also made for us in moving the photos around and I had to finally write to the server to find out why they had deleted that option, only to learn that they had not, but had changed the wording and we thouught it meant to order prints! We now know how to do it and can once again can place the images in order as they need to be. If you have any problems or questions just write. 3. La Junta Tribune- November 12, 1926 La Junta, Colorado Death of Mrs. Anna Jobe Mrs. Anna Jobe was found dead on Thursday night shortly before 7 oclock under rather tragic circumstances, by her son, Lester Clements, with whom she made her home. The home is in the 1800 block on South Carson avenue. Lester Clements, who is caretaker of the court house, left home about 5 oclock Thursday morning to look after his work in the court house building. At that time his mother expressed her intention of cleaning out the irrigation ditch near the house for the purpose of running water into the stock cistern. When Mrs. Clements arose about 6:30 oclock, Mrs. Jobe was gone and failed to put in an appearance. Mrs. Clements thought nothing of the occurrence at the time, as Mrs. Jobe often went to the home of a neighbor and spent some time. When Mr. Clements returned home in the evening and found his mother had not returned, he secured a lantern and started to search for her. He found her lifeless body lying near the banks of the irrigation ditch, she having been dead since early morning, according to all indications. She had been suffering from high blood pressure for some months, and this appears to have been the cause of death. Anna Hare was born at Hildred, Ohio, September 12, 1869, and was aged 57 years, 1 month and 22 days. On September 14, 1886 she was united in marriage to Thomas Clements, at Olathe, Kan. To this union six children were born, three of whom survive. They are Lester Clements, of La Junta; Wilbur Clements of Pueblo, and Mrs. Gladys Meddings, of Los Angeles, Calif. On February 4, 1909, Mrs. Clements was united in marriage to Mr. Ed. Jobe, who passes away February 34, 1922. The remains were cared for by Kings Undertaking Parlors, and the funeral services held Sunday afternoon from the Baptist church, conducted by Rev. P. E. Mundy. A wealth of beautiful flowers attested the esteem in which Mrs. Jobe was held by her friends and neighbors. The remains were interred in Fairview cemetery. Mrs. Jobe was a faithful member of the Baptist Church, and was always found ready to assist those in need of aid. Her friends were numbered by her acquaintances, and her passing is mourned by all. She was also a member of the Womans Relief Corps, the Royal Neighbors and the Knights and Ladies of Security. ** Anna was wife of Edward James Jobe s/o Thomas Jobe and Jane Summers, gs/o Edward J. 3. La Junta Tribune -March 3, 1922 La Junta, Colorado Death of Ed Jobe The body of Edward J. Jobe, who died Saturday afternoon at Los Angeles, Calif., arrived Wednesday night and was taken to Croans Funeral Home, where the casket was opened Thursday afternoon for the benefit of friends who wished to view the remains. Mr. Jobe was born September 22, 1869 at Blooming Grove, Kan., and came to La Junta in 1877, while a small boy, with his mother and step father, Frank Mixon, his own father having died previously. He has been a resident of this city every since that time, and has been connected with the Santa Fe Railroad for over twenty-five years as a fireman and engine hostler. On January 14th of this year he was taken sick, and several weeks ago went to California in the hope that the climate there would be of benefit to him. For some time he appeared to be improving, but a few hours before the end began sinking rapidly. The funeral services are announced to be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 oclock at the Baptist church in charge of Rev. J. N. Bowling. He is survived by his wife and the following step-children, Leslie, Wilbur, Claude and Charles Clemens, all of La Junta, and a step daughter residing at Trinidad. His marriage took place on February 1, 1908, at Trinidad, when he was united in marriage to Mrs. Anna Clemens, who survives him. He was a member of the I. O. O. F. and of the Masonic lodges here. A Masonic funeral will be held, and interment will be in the Fairview cemetery. ** Edward was the s/o Thomas Jobe and Jane Summers, gs/o Edward J. Jobe and Isabelle Fincher, g gs/o James M.
