Didn't help that he wasn't even sure that his surname was actual or the name of people an ancestor worked for. I'm sorry to say that I really don't know anything about the James family except what I have found on Ancestry.com. My ancestor Mary Etna Cole may or may not have been part of the Cole family that Jesse James' mother belonged to. I've never proven yet that my Mary Etna Cole is connected to the Cole/James families.
