Strange, the last time I was at our library's gen. attic, I copied out just that address: http://image.vtls.com/ as the description caught my attention, reading "Search VA newspapers, ct. records, state documents on line". The fact that it was the famed U. of VA. archives wasn't mentioned in the book. Now I will hie directly to the site & see whether I can get into some records for the early 1800s. Found my >Jennings line Bible records there which can be viewed. In fact, there are 46 >Bible records that have mention of Jennings. You may want to try the site: >image.vtls.com (no www or anything-just as I have typed it) It may be a >little confusing at first to manipulate the site but think I choose >"Combination" and then type Bible Records in first box and Jennings in >second. When listing of records appears, click on line referring to viewing >of image or think there is an icon at bottom of page you can click for >viewing. The VA Colonial Records are also interesting if you have time to >read all the 152 references that include Jennings - most of these are for a >time period prior to my Jennings arrival in 1754. There is a lot of info on >this site if you have time to "check it all out". DPowell > > >==== JENNINGS Mailing List ==== >List problems? Contact Jennings listowner [email protected] >
