Notes for JACOB JENNINGS: Another Family Bible Records shows his birth as May 12, 1762 (a previous one showed July 12, 1762) and states that he departed this life on September 5, 1835, age 68 years, 1 month, and 23 days. This Family Bible also shows that Beatrice B. Jennings, wife of Jacob Jennings, departed this life, September 5, 1855, age 92 years, 3 months, and 23 days. Jacob Jennings and his wife are buried at Smith's Fork Baptist Church, Wilson County, Tennessee (University of North Carolina: Southern Historical Collections, Trist Wood Papers on Jennings). His children by his first wife had moved to Missouri by 1833. Notes for THOMAS JACKSON JENNINGS: Thomas Jackson Jennings in 1846, sold land owned by John Jennings which was converted to the widow, Rachel Jennings, and to which land John Jennings held title by deed from Jacob Jennings (Madison County Kentucky Deed Book 3-159). It is probable Jacob Jennings conveyed land in Madison County, Kentucky to his brother, John Jennings on whose death in 1834, the land went t John's widow, Rachel, and from her passsed to her son, Thomas Jackson Jennings who sold the land in 1846. Notes for ROBERT JENNINGS, JR.: This Robert Jennings has also been shown to have married a Hannah Word on December 18, 1818 in Wilson County, Tennessee. I wonder if this is the correct Robert that married Hannah or is she the wife of Robert son of Jacob Jennings. This Robert would have been his uncle. Since the Phillips Family History page 166 by Harry Phillips shows that this Robert was married to Hannah Word, however, I still think that the Robert that married Hannah Word could possibly be the nephew of the above Robert.
