    1. [JENNINGS-L] Re: JENNINGS in Caldwell County, Kentucky
    2. To Glenn and your Cousin Jack, My ggg grandfather, Bailey JENNINGS, md. Kitty EARLE in Dec., 1811 in Christian County, Kentucky and then after that, at some point, lived in Caldwell County, KY. Their daughter, my gg grandmother, Sarah 'Sally' JENNINGS, married Jeremiah/Jerry PARKER, born: 1795 in Maryland. I am wondering if there is any connection with the name of Jeremiah in the JENNINGS and this PARKER line. It looks quite possible that Jeremiah/Jerry PARKER might be the son of the Richard T. PARKER that descends from Elizabeth BARHAM and Drury PARKER out of the late 1600's and early1700's in Maryland and Virginia. My gg grandfather, Jeremiah/Jerry PARKER had a son named Richard T. PARKER and several other children including my great grandfather, Spencer B. PARKER, born: 1859. I am looking for more information on this particular PARKER line and, also, trying to establish what I think is a probable connection to a SPENCER line, possibly the one that descends from William SPENCER. There may, also, be a connection to the NEWSOM and MYRICK lines that were related to the above mentioned BARHAM and PARKER lines in the mid-1700's in Virginia....with William MYRICK (who married Lucy NEWSOM,) being out of the Frederick County, Virginia area in the mid-1700's. I am, also, looking to conclude if there was any connection between this MYRICK line in Virginia and Hugh PIERCE, (Revolutionary War Soldier,) born: abt. 1749 in Frederick Co., VA. Hugh PIERCE and his wife, Sofia HUNTER, quite possibly may be the parents of my ggg grandmother, Elizabeth PIERCE, born: abt. 1790 in SC, who married my ggg grandfather, William MYRICK, born: mid-late 1700's in ?, parents: ??, appears to be descended from the Owen MYRICK line but nothing to confirm that yet. My William MYRICK appears to have descended from the CARROLL-MYRICK descendants of Owen MYRICK. My MYRICK connects with the JENNINGS-PARKER by way of the marriage of the daughter of aforementioned Spencer B. PARKER, born: 1859, and his wife: Rachael Moranda 'Randa/Randy' LEWIS COLEMAN BRIGHT. Rachael Moranda LEWIS was the daughter of John LEWIS, born: abt. 1820 in Jones Co., MS, son of Howell LEWIS, born: abt. 1788 in Granville, NC, who, though notproven, strongly appears to be descended from the John LEWIS, the Emigrant, who is the progenitor of the Warner Hall LEWIS line, from one of the Charles LEWIS and Mary HOWELL lines. Mary HOWELL is the daughter of John HOWELL. Again referencing Rachael Moranda LEWIS COLEMAN BRIGHT who, at the time she married her first husband, Wesley BRIGHT, married under the name of Moranda COLEMAN, and, again, when she married her husband, Spencer B. PARKER, she married under the name of Moranda COLEMAN. The above mentioned John LEWIS was the son of Howell LEWIS and his wife, Nancy COPELAND, who was the daughter of Ripley COPELAND and his wife, Rachael TUCKER, who appears to be descended from Captain Robert TUCKER, and Ripley COPELAND was the son of Dorothy RIPLEY and Nicholas COPELAND whom I believe descends from Nicholas COPELAND who descends from Thomas COPELAND if I have it straight in my head. At any rate, I am mentioning all of this since so many of these lines connected back then and I am trying to find, especially, the line of Jeremiah PARKER. Also, I think that there may be a BAILEY line in my JENNINGS line, perhaps either through Bailey JENNINGS, born: abt. 1789 in VA, and his mother, Rachel ? who married his father, John JENNINGS, (Rev. War,) or the mother of John JENNINGS who was Sarah MORE/MOORE, perhaps her mother was a BAILEY, and her husband who was Edward Salley/Sallee? JENNINGS, who was the son of Ann ? and William JENNINGS, Jr., son of Mary WILLOUGHBY and William JENNINGS, Sr., son of John JENNINGS, born: abt. 1633 in England and emigrated to Old Rappahannock, VA and his wife, Margaret PAYNE, who was probably the daughter of Margrett (Jennings?) ROBINSON, dau of Richard ROBINSON, and John PAYNE, born: abt. 1615 in England, emigrated to Old Rappahannock, VA, and was probably the son of Moses PAYNE/PAINE. It looks as if the Ann ? who was the wife of William JENNINGS, Jr. may have had the maiden name of KELLY but that is only supposition on my part as her daughter named Martha JENNINGS who was only 5 years old when she died at age 34 years only one year after her husband, William JENNINGS, Jr., died at age 33 years. Martha was bound out to a man named KELLY....I think it was Alexander KELLY...but I don't have my notes right here in front of me at the moment. But there is no mention as to whether or not this was Ann ? JENNINGS brother or not. Martha's brother, Edward Salley JENNINGS, was bound out to his uncle Augustine JENNINGS, as Edward was 15 years old when his mother died. If you have anything connecting to any of this please let me know. Sincerely, Bellinda Myrick Barnett
