Mary Ann, wife of A. P. JENNINGS, the senior proprietor of the Caldwell Press, died on Sunday, Jan. 30th, aged 42 years and 12 days. Mrs. JENNINGS was the daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth HILLYER, and was born in Noble township, this county, Jan. 18th, 1845. When 19 years of age, while teaching school, she was prostrated by a serious attack of lung fever. She never fully regained her health, and after many years of suffering, consumption at last claimed her for its victum (sic). She was married to A. P. JENNINGS, in 1868, who with two children, Bertha May, aged 9, and Cora E., aged 4 survive her. She had long since made a profession of religion and was a member of the Methodist Protestant church at the time of her death. The funeral services occurred at the M. E. church, Caldwell, Feb. 1, Rev. Stauffer preaching a very appropriate sermon from 1 Pet. 4:8 - a text selected by the departed.
