    3. Caren....I am interested in the Phillips History that you refer to. My Samuel Thomas Jennings( b.1841 in Bedford Co...great grandson of Robert Jennings(b.1736) who married Catherine Sallee ....married Lou Vicie Phillips (b.1845)....Lou Vicie's line goes to her father Garrett Phillips(b. 1815) to her grandfather Matthew Phillips (b.1770 in Surry County , NC)..{.Mathew was an early Bedford county Tn Justice of the peace, landowner, ran a cotton gin and worked in El Bethel Baptist church} his father was William Phillips ( b. 1740 in Orange County Va and died in Surry co. NC) who married Mary Creed. Williams father was Joseph Phillips who was born in 1710 in England. I am just wondering about an earlier possible connection between this Jennings and Phillips line....I appreciate your help on the list.
