When in England last month, I tried to find the Benjamin Jennings, supposedly b. 12/8/1748 in Surrey County, England. Does anyone know his wife, Rebecca's maiden name? His son, Gideon, b. 12/24/1767 m. Grace Derrah/Darrah, b. 11/24/1772 - 1/3/1868. Her final resting place is in St. Mathew's Lutheran formerly called Mt. Tabor cemetery in Tuscarawas County, Ohio We were able to verify that information in the New Philadelphia library, where we first found Gideon's signature two years ago on a census record. My theory that Gideon might have had a different father has fizzled. It is very puzzling that an English man would have named his only son, Gideon. Thank you for any clues anyone might have. Anne
