Massillon, Ohio - Not dated Baby Born To Fire Victim Mrs. Charles Jennings, 15, who sustained severe burns on her back, legs and arm from flaming kerosene, Sunday, at her residence, 1452 Lawn Ave SW, gave birth this morning to a baby at the Massillion city hospital where she was taken following the accident. The baby was born prematurely, according to the attending physician's office and has been placed in an incubator. The condition of Mrs. Jennings was described as fair by hospital authorities. Mrs. Jennings was burned when some of the flaming kerosene spilled over her body as she ran for the door after her father Emmett Roe of the same address, endeavored to throw it outside. The kerosene, contained in a jar, caught fire as Roe attempted to start a fire in a stove, according to Patrolman Ernest Smith who investigated. Roe was treated at the hospital for burns of the hand and wrist and released. Connie Chancellor [email protected]
