Cyrus F. Buchanan married Elizabeth Jennings in 1850 , Ripley County IN. She died in 1859, we think in indianapolis and he remarried another Elizabeth , Elizabeth Kirby. The first marriage has Ezra, Eliza J. and possibly a WIlliam E. Buchanan. Second marriage had William, Jacob S. and John Henry Buchanan. Cyrus and his mother Jane and brother John A. Buchanan, were born in PA. So was Elizabeth Kirby daughter of Jacob and Harriet Wentworth Kirby. Jane Buchanan is buried in Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis beside William E. Buchanan who is either buried as a child or is buried with a child.Cyrus and John A. Buchanan were both Carpenters and are found in the city directories for many years. Cyrus F. Buchanan died in 1873, in Indianapolis and Elizabeth Kirby Buchanan married Charles P. Haskins. They both died in Utah, 1904. I would like to know what happened to the children.
