I am looking for an illusive Jennings. My 5thgrandfather, Daniel Meadows, married in either VA or NC, Elizabeth Jennings, b 1729 in Va. Supposedly, from some Meadows literature, she was the widow of Howell Mangrum, and the daughter of William Jennings and Mary Pulliam. However, I have been unable to find anything in Jennings genealogy that would confirm this. According to one of the Jennings sources, Documented Notes on Jennings and Allied Families, William Jennings and Mary Pulliam had a daughter Elizabeth, but not married to either Meadows or Mangrum. Do either of your sources give any clue?? I also have a family group sheet for Robert Jennings and Alice Robertson opf New Kent County, Va abt 1690. It lists children as Robert Cary, Robinsonova, Needles R., Theodosa, Indiana, James Roddy, and Alice Octavia. It is noted to suggest that there is a nephew relationship to my ancester.
