Hi Donna, I think you best hope is by continuing your communication with other researchers. I have also found the NY Public Research Library located in Mid Manhattan a tremendous resource. You may search their catalog on-line. It is called CATNYP. The Genealogical Library is superb. The research library is the 2nd largest in the world only the Mitterand Library in France is bigger. I have also found the National Archives branch in Lower Manhattan tremendous. They have microfilms of most of the important census records as well as many other valuable records, such as ships logs, war records and naturalisation records.
