I've learned a good bit from you! Do you have any idea when Benjamin was born? I have only a Mary Jennings (1742-1823) who was supposedly from Somerset County, Turkeyfoot Twp. She married Samuel Ruble in 1772 and they lived on what later became the VA-PA border and now their land is on the WV-PA border. As a result of some searching, I had begun to suspect that Mary might be a daughter of Benjamin Jennings. I found Benjamin on a 1786 list of Taxables for Monongalia County, WV. On early tax lists in Fayette County there are the following Jennins/Jenings/Jennings: Henry, German Twp. 1795, 1796, 1798 Henry, Georges 1788 Henry, Springhill 1787, 1789 Jacob, German 1796, 1798 Jacob, Redstone 1799 David, Menallen 1786, 1788 Jonathan, Menallen 1786-1788, 1785 Jonathan, Luzerne 1795 Jonathan German 1795 Springhill Twp. covers the area where my Mary Jennings and her husband lived on the border of VA. once the dispute between the two states was settled! I live now (in recent, early retirement) in Georges Twp. not far from the mts, and can see an area there called Jennings Ridge where there is a Jennings Cem. There was an early Derry family here in Fayette County. In these same tax record lists, I see a Jacob Derry in German Twp. 1785 and 1786. Later they were in Georges Twp. Sorry but I don't know of any early marriage records except for a few at Jacobs Lutheran Church in German Twp. No Jennings there. Have you tried Somerset County? Do stay in touch. We have corresponded and she has been a great help to me. Later, today, I did find some information, originating from Winston and Ruth Jennings. He is now deceased but we were able to take Ruth to lunch in September and give her some stamps to partially thank her for all the time spent in research. Benjamin Jennings was supposedly born 12/8/1740 in Surrey, England. His widow, Rebecca, married David McIntire. Their daughter, Mary, was born 10/3/1782. She married Aaron Reeves. They travelled to Ohio with Gideon and Grace Jennings. They also had a daughter, Mary, who married a Williams. The repetition of names has made my search quite a challenge. Your information is being printed for further study. Thank you very much. With appreciation, Anne --part1_94.179cc9.25c70661_boundary--
