This maybe a start for finding Wayland's Jennings line Wayland Arnold Jennings, 15 June 1937, Littlefield, Texas, USA. Jennings' mother wanted to name him Tommy but his father, William Alvin, insisted that the family tradition of "W.A." should be maintained. His father played guitar in Texas dancehalls. Some of my line went from TN/KY to Texas. Seems if one did something bad and the lawmen were after them, they took off to Texas, where at the time there was no law.
