Jeannine, I don't think we're onto the same Jennings family, but the similarity is amazing. My gg grandfather was Elisha Jennings, who married Mary Elders about 1863 while he was serving in the 10th Missouri Cavalry during the Civil War. He supposedly was born in Illinois, but I haven't been able to find any proof of that. Elisha and Mary, who was his second wife, had two daughters, both born in Arkansas, but they ended up living in Indian Territory during the early 1900s.
